An industrial facility in Vietnam was experiencing active settlement in an engineering area, with new wall cracks appearing over a short period. Following an in-situ soil investigation, URETEK Vietnam proposed a targeted injection programme to fill subsurface voids and deep injection to improve the supporting soil and help prevent further settlement.
The delivery
The project was delivered in two phases, from 3–7 February and 20–28 February 2024. Throughout the work, URETEK Vietnam’s site team coordinated closely with the facility’s engineering representatives, monitoring actual ground conditions and adapting the treatment programme where required.
The solution
Two complementary techniques were applied. Void Filling was used to fill subsurface voids and restore support beneath affected floor areas. Deep Injection was carried out beneath the affected foundations to strengthen the supporting soil at greater depth and improve foundation support.
The outcome
The completed work treated 30 foundation footings, 282 m² by Void Filling and 268 m² by Deep Injection. The signed handover certificate dated 28 February 2024 records that the required quantities were achieved, the work quality was satisfactory and the project was completed on schedule.
Deep Injection in progress
Laser-controlled uplift monitoring
During injection, the site team used a laser level and receiver to monitor vertical movement in real time. This provided immediate feedback, allowing the injection sequence and resin delivery to be controlled while avoiding excessive uplift.

This project demonstrates how targeted resin injection can address active settlement without conventional excavation or extensive demolition. By adapting the injection programme to observed site conditions, URETEK Vietnam treated both subsurface voids beneath the floor and weakened supporting soil beneath the affected foundations while maintaining a controlled, closely monitored work sequence.
